I was just filling out one of those friend surveys and it asked what/if any is your special talent.
Wow, had to think about that for a while. I’m not especially talented in any area. Never been physically or musically inclined. Not too great in the patience with kids area. I’m an ok sewer (that is a person who sews, not a drain where gross stuff goes)…oh, I guess the word is seamstress. See, I’m not that great with words either.
Then I remembered a day at the grocery store service counter trying to fill out a money order to pay my sales tax due. And that brought back many other similar memories. And I realized my special talent:
Balancing a baby on one hip and keeping that baby from swiping things off the sales counter while I’m using the only free hand left to hold the receipt and sign it at the same time. That’s pretty darn talented if you ask me.
P.S. Any sales clerks who may be reading this. If you see a lady saddle up with a kid on her hip–that means that one of her hands is occupied. It takes two hands (normally) to hold a receipt and sign it. Do the noble and just thing and hold the receipt for her to sign!!! I’ve had this happen ONCE in all my baby-on-the-hip-signing-receipts-days. May God bless that sales clerk with huge sales and great commissions!
You’ve got many more talents than that! Some of which I can talk about, others I can’t 😉
Effectively navigating 12 websites at the same time, cooking, teaching, letterboxing/geocaching, word games of any kind, making your husband and children feel loved…
I am laughing out loud over Du’s comment…and he’s a smart hubby for giving your unmentionable skills a shout-out. Woo-woo!
Aren’t you glad you filled out my survey now? Because it forced you to think–and God brought to light a very useful talent, I might add!!!!
