The rebuilding of WTC

One World Trade Center is now complete and it’s so beautiful. I desperately want to get back to NYC to see it. This was taken in 2011, standing near the Statue of Liberty.

The Rebuilding – ProjectEdit365 – 23 Nov

The original was hazy. I increased the contrast and clarity and reduced the noise. I used a graduated filter over the buildings to warm them up a touch. Here’s the original:

I'm a photographer and homeschooler Dream = travel blogger. We move around every couple of years. That's fine, I love seeing different parts of our great country and the world. Great things: Jesus, traveling, photography, eating, sewing, scrapbooking, reading, shopping...not necessarily in that order.

  1. With cityscapes increasing contrast and clarity is the way to go. With Lightroom CC also simply pushing the dehazing slider also works well.

Last time I was in NCY was two years ago, I was at the new tower and the memorial and is so beautiful, although remembrance of 9/11 was heavy on the heart. I had a special relationship with the Twin Towers since I was a teenager and exchange student in the US. My host dad was a sheet metal worker who helped build the towers. I remember how proud he was when he took me there and showed me everything. And his brother in law who worked in the towers on 9/11 lost his mind when running out of the buildings.

Although the Twin Towers will be always missing from this amazing skyline the new tower is a worthy substitution.

I wish you and your family a loving and peaceful Thanksgiving!
