Monterey used to be a canning town. Evidence of the fishermen, canners, and shop keepers is all around.

Think John Steinbeck.

He lived down the road.

Wow! Yes, that IS awesome! Where in Monterey is this way? I don’t recall seeing it during any of my past visits.

  It is along Cannery Row. After looking at Google Maps I see that it is just behind Spindrift Inn. You can walk down to the beach right there.
