Stigma and anther

When we lived in Monterey I was determined to grow citrus. We did the best (cheapest) thing we could and bought an orange tree from Home Depot. It took SO LONG for the oranges to grow and ripen! March came and we were rewarded with these beautiful and wonderful smelling blossoms. We finally got to taste the fruit of our labor right before we moved.

The original: I adjusted the exposure and cropped for a better focus of the blossoms stigma and anthers. When I lightened up the picture I noticed the spider web running from either the back petal or back anther to a leaf.

I'm a photographer and homeschooler Dream = travel blogger. We move around every couple of years. That's fine, I love seeing different parts of our great country and the world. Great things: Jesus, traveling, photography, eating, sewing, scrapbooking, reading, shopping...not necessarily in that order.
