One year we were able to visit New York City for Thanksgiving and see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! We were there early to get a good spot. It was cold. We were packed like sardines. And it was totally worth it.

The original was so wonky that the building behind him looked like it was falling. Cropping to straighten the buildings cut off some of Snoopy, but I think it adds to the idea of how close he was to us. I increased the contrast and clarity and lightened the shadows. Here’s the original: Should I have left it without cropping it?

I liked this picture. But i think the original has alot of background to see. If you increase the exposure, contrast and clarity in the original picture without cropping. It would look even better. 🙂
Thank you for the comment! I’m traveling right now without my computer. When I get home I’ll try to remember to take a look and edit like you suggest.
I’m home and did the edit like you suggest (wish I could post it here), and I think you’re right — Snoopy is such a large presence in the foreground that you notice him and not the buildings tipping over. Then your eyes move around to see everything else in the photo. Thanks!
Thanks. I cant wait to see the picture.
