Donkey’s Cross

Did you know there is a legend that explains the cross on the backs of donkeys? A donkey carried Christ into Jerusalem during the Passion, and since then donkeys have had crosses on their backs. The white one’s cute too, but I love the contrast of colors on the other two.

Donkey’s Cross – ProjectEdit365 – 09 Oct

The original photo was kind of flat. I increased the contrast and vibrance, and decreased the clarity and highlights. I also moved the tint slider slightly towards magenta. I used adjustment brushes on the donkeys to increase their sharpness and clarity. Here’s the original:

Red Barn

This barn is on the peach farm from the previous post. I love old structures.

I wanted to go for a slightly edgy or spooky look, but not halloweenish. I upped the contrast and clarity both to 100. I decreased the vibrance and saturation just a little. I also lowered the highlights and shadows. In the Tone Curve section of Lightroom, I decreased the highlights there and increased the lights. In the Color section I decreased the luminance and saturation of the blue color to keep the sky in the same mood as the building. The original:
