I'm a photographer and homeschooler
Dream = travel blogger.
We move around every couple of years. That's fine, I love seeing different parts of our great country and the world.
Great things: Jesus, traveling, photography, eating, sewing, scrapbooking, reading, shopping...not necessarily in that order.

Wow! You really spiffed that one up! I’d love to know some of your methods.
Thanks! I’m so thankful Lightroom (I have LR5) has a detailed edit history! Usually I start out by sharpening the whole pic and decreasing any noise, but this one I increased the clarity and contrast first (then sharpened). Then I worked through the other sliders on the “Basic” panel–adjusting the highlights, shadows, whites and blacks, and vibrance to get to where I thought the house looked good. Then I went to the individual colors and adjusted their saturations, hues, and luminances (basically to get the grass where I wanted it and to make sure the roof didn’t look too blue). I decreased the exposure of the sky using the graduated filter. Then I cropped to where I wanted. I hope all that makes sense! 🙂 I do like using Lightroom presets, too, but didn’t go that route on this pic.
