Big Sur

The drive down the Pacific Coast Highway takes a long time.

Can you imagine why?

Lots of stopping and getting out to admire the view.

Big Sur – ProjectEdit365 – 06 Apr

The original just needed a little boost. I didn’t use any presets on this one.

Big Sur Haze

Mist along the Pacific Coast is a given almost every morning.

Otherworldly – especially when the whales are breaching closer to the shore.

Bixby Bridge

One of the most photographed landmarks along the Pacific Coast Highway. I don’t think I have a shot at a really great angle. This one was difficult to edit to my satisfaction. There’s still some sun flare lines that I didn’t want to clone/heal out due to how long they are (I work with Lightroom, not Photoshop). I think I must have been inside the car, behind the windshield. Sigh. ProjectEdit365 is a learning process – it doesn’t mean every shot is going to be awesome or perfect.

I do have great memories of driving this highway.

Missing the Pacific Coast

Summer has a death grip on the area we currently live. Multiple days (weeks, even) in the 90s. Normally I’d much rather be hot than cold, but this heat stranglehold has me missing the perfectly mild climate of “northern” California. Reminisce with me. . . and click on a pic to bring up the full-size images.
