Pensive Pose

My youngest helped me scout a location last year for a family shoot. We brought along the umbrella prop to play with. It would make more sense if there were even a cloud in the sky. I think she makes it work. 😉

The stump she’s sitting on is cool, but the background is all over the place. I cropped. . . head over to ProjectEdit365 to see the rest of the post and the original photo. I ran out of media space on this blog so I did what I should have done from the start – gave my project its own blog!

Mexican/Japanese Fusion

Takosushi – interesting mix of Mexican and Japanese. Not a combo I would have thought to mix, but the logo works! (and the food was good) – Columbia, SC

I took this with my iPhone in a square format, intending to post it on Instagram. The original was dark and the buildings were leaning. Head on over to the blog I created just for my Project Edit 365 posts (I was running out of media space on this blog!). Project Edit 365

We Love Daddy

Sometimes Daddy goes away on business trips.

Sometimes we miss him lots.

Sometimes we let him know.

We Love Daddy – ProjectEdit365 – 11 Dec

The girls were younger in this pic and it was hard for them to hold the sign at just the right angle. My shutter speed should have been a little faster. I decreased the saturation, increased the contrast, clarity, and highlights. Head on over to ProjectEdit365 to see the difference in the original!

Hotel Warm Springs

**I’ve migrated my ProjectEdit365 posts over to their own blog! This blog was running out of space for media storage. Head over to ProjectEdit365 to see this full post!**

Each December it’s a tradition for my family to meet in Warm Springs and Pine Mountain, Georgia to shop the shops and attend Callaway Garden’s Fantasy In Lights. Warm Springs is the small town where FDR would visit to take the waters to help with his polio. The Little White House is there. Hotel Warm Springs sits in the middle of the downtown area. It’s website says that it was host to quite a few famous people during Roosevelt’s time, even the King and Queen of Spain!

If only the modern cars weren’t parked in front! The original was pretty dark. . . Head over to ProjectEdit365 to see the original photo and read how I edited it.

Little Toes

There’s something so sweet about little toes.

Little Toes – ProjectEdit365 – 09 Dec

I initially was going black and white with this one, but I took some of the suggestions from Streets of Nuremberg and decided to leave this one in color. It’s a toss up for me! Nothing is in focus so I sharpened a lot and reduced the noise a little (this challenge is about making the best out of what I’ve got). I cloned out the dust particles under the couch. I was going to try to clone out the cord back there, but it’s late and I’m tired and it just wasn’t going to look right. 🙂 I used two radial filters to highlight the girls feet and added a small vignette to the whole picture. I also reduced the saturation just a touch. Here’s the original:

Project Edit 365 is migrating

Well, I’ve done it. I’ve reached the 3MB limit of media storage that WordPress allows for free blogs! I’m not sure why I didn’t create a separate blog for P.E.365 when I began this project. I guess I wasn’t thinking far enough ahead to the finish.

I’ve got a month and a half left to go of daily editing and I need more space — so these past two days I created a separate blog for Project Edit 365 and I have migrated all of the posts over to there.

2014-07-17-17-33-04
That’s all my posts and pictures, packed away and moving to the new blog.

As of today I’m going to delete the previous months’ posts and pictures from this blog so I can free up the space here. I think I still plan to post my edits here first and then transfer them over to the P.E.365 blog, because that would be easier for my readers.

BUT, if you are feeling generous, click on Project Edit 365 to go over there and follow me there. 🙂

Thanks!
